A member of the Clare senior hurling backroom team is confident they will be welcoming back some established faces to their starting line up for Sunday’s National Hurling League clash with Wexford.
Aidan McCarthy and Tony Kelly made their first appearances of the season during the loss to Galway a fortnight ago, with the likes of David Fitzgerald, Mark Rodgers and John Conlon among those who could be in line to feature against the Leinster outfit.
There are just eight weeks left until the opening round of the Munster hurling championship, with Clare now facing into a period of four games in five weeks to complete the Division 1A campaign.
All Ireland winning selector Tommy Corbett says while results haven’t gone their way to date, players who have been given their chance have impressed with their performances.
