Clare clubs are set to sign off on the group tasked with putting together a five year strategic plan for Gaelic games in this county this evening.

The motion, originally put forward by the Eire Og club, was unanimously supported by clubs and the County Board last month, with work ongoing to make up the members of the committee.

A number of prominent business people in Clare will form the group, along with Clare GAA Vice Chair Kieran Keating and Kilrush native Roisin Glynn, Senior Business Manager with AIB.

County Board Chair Jack Chaplin has previously told Clare FM he expects the group’s work to get underway ‘immediately’ once clubs formally sign off on the move.

The monthly meeting of the Clare County Board gets underway virtually from 6.30pm.
