Clare’s defence of the Munster title faltered at the first hurdle as they lost to Cork on Sunday by 2-14 to 1-8.
The visitors to Ballincollig led at the break by 1-6 to 0-8 points but the league champions dominated the second half and goals from Breige Corkery and Eimear O Sullivan helped them to a 9 point win
