Clare bow out of Munster U21 Football Championship

Clare bowed out of the Munster U21 Football Championship after losing to Tipperary by 0-15 to 0-7.

The Premier were always in control of the game, and led by 0-7 to 0-4 at the break.

Kimihils Martin O'Leary was unlucky to his see his goal bound effort come crashing off the Tipperary crossbar, with the Banner failing to score from play in the opening period.

The Clare scores came from frees, with Keelan Sexton landing three and Paddy O'Malley one.

The gap was cut to just two points in the second half, but Tipperary pushed on and with Jason Lonergan taking his tally to 0-5, along with eight of his team mates finding the target over the course of the hour, they ran out comfortable eight point winners.

They'll now face Cork in the decider, after they beat Kerry 1-12 to 1-9 in Pairc Ui Rinn.
