Clare manager Michale Mc Dermott has said he is proud of his players efforts in the national football league despite missing out on promotion to Wicklow.
Clare missed out on a palce in the league final after 1-15 to 1-12 loss in Aughrim which means they missed out by virtue of Wicklow’s better head to head record.
The Cavan man says it wasn’t for the lack of effort that they won’t be playing in a higher division next season
