Mick Shiels side got off to the perfect start in Ray McSharry Park, when Darragh Corry headed home from a Paddy O'Malley free kick on 18 minutes.
That lead was doubled just before half time, with Garry Higgins latching on to Colin Smyth's through ball to leave the Banner 2-0 up at the break.
Just four minutes had elapsed in the second half when the home side pulled one back, but the Clare defence held firm to book their spot in the last four.
