Clare’s senior hurling boss says his side stood up when it mattered most this weekend, as they await this morning’s second round draw for the All Ireland qualifier series.
Brian Lohan’s men edged out Laois by a single point to be in the hat for the draw – battling with 14 men for the majority of the game after David McInerney’s first half red card.
Cork, All Ireland champions Tipperary or Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford await the Banner in the second round this coming weekend.
Lohan says Clare showed the spirit needed to get over the line against Laois.
