Any chance Chelsea had of reaching the Champions league through the league is gone following last nights 4-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
An own goal from Essien , a strike from Henderson and a header from Agger had the Reds 3-0 up at the break, Ramires pulled one back for Chelsea in the second half but Shelvey ended all hopes the visitors had of staging a comeback with his goal on 61 minutes.
