Clare have suffered a six point defeat in their Liberty Insurance All Ireland Senior Championship clash against Galway.
The banner women led by two points at half time on a score-line of 0-08 to 1-03, however the visitors secured two second half goals through Brenda Hanney and Molly Dunne.
Clare’s goal came courtesy of Vera Loughnane, and the hosts were in touch up until Dunnes goal in the 48th minute.
It finished 3-12 to 1-12 in Cusack Park.
