Clare could face Cork in a repeat of the All-Ireland Final in their first Championship outing of 2014.
The draw was made for next year’s Munster Championships last night, and sees the All-Ireland Champions drawn straight into the semi-finals.
There, Clare will face the winners Cork or Waterford, with Limerick and Tipperary contesting the other last four clash.
In the Leinster hurling championship, Anthony Daly’s Dublin have been kept on the opposite side of the draw to both Galway and Kilkenny. Clare’s footballers, meanwhile, will take on Waterford in their first game.
Should they overcome the Deise, then Kerry would stand in Clare’s way of a spot in the Munster Final. Cork will begin their campaign with a semi-final clash against either Tipperary or Limerick.
All Ireland champions Dublin will begin their defence of their Leinster title against either Wicklow or Laois in the Leinster quarter-finals, while Tyrone and Down will go head to head in the preliminary round of Ulster, with the winners advancing to a quarter-final against defending champions Monaghan.
Donegal are on the other side of the draw where they will play Derry in the quarter-finals while Connacht Champions Mayo begin with a clash against New York.
