CDSL to go ahead with installing lights at county ground

The CDSL is hoping to progress with the installation of lights at the county grounds over the coming months following last night’s AGM in Ennis.

It was revealed that  a contract has been signed and a loan has been agreed for the installion of new lights  at Doora.

Its hoped that the  development   would allow evening time  Oscar Traynor  and other county games  be played in Clare for the very first time.

the Agm also heard the Cdsl ran at a profit of 26,000 euro in the last 12 months, largely thnaks to a 10,000 euro grant from the FAI for hosting the associations Agm in the county last year

However there was a decrease of nearly 12,00 euro in affiliation fees recorded over the past year,from 48 690 to 36,944.
