The Central Competition Controls Committee are to further investigate the incident that forced Dublin footballer Davy Byrne to spend two nights in hospital.

It's understood Byrne suffered a fractured eye socket and a broken nose before throw-in of a challenge match at the hands on an unidentified Armagh player.
A review of a video by the CCCC failed to clarify the sequence of events, and lack of mention in the referee's report seemed to leave the matter at an end.
Jim Gavin has said the players involved held a "frank discussion."
