Colm Honans side were level with the All Ireland Finalists at half time at four points a piece.
The hosts ran into a 0-09 points to 0-04 lead mid way through the second half, the banner women brought it back to a two point game as they hit full time, however an injury time goal sealed the five point win for the Cats.
Final score in Ballyhale 1-09 to 0-07.
Fortunes were better for the under 16 C side.
There Clare enjoyed a 7-12 to 0-02 win over Kerry in Tralee this afternoon.
