Carroll Targets Success In Banner Ladies Munster Final

Details have been announced for Banner ladies’ Munster Final this weekend.

The Ennis-based outfit will take on Cork champions St. Val’s in Kilmallock on Saturday afternoon, looking to become the first Clare team since Cooraclare in 1996 to take the Michael Ryan Cup west of the Shannon.

Throw-in is at 4 o’clock. One of the Banner’s leading lights, meanwhile, admits the intensity of their games is rising with every clash in the Munster championship.

Dual-county star Naomi Carroll, who is also an international Hockey player, is juggling a busy schedule but lined out for the Banner last weekend when they captured the Senior B title against Ballymacarbary of Waterford.

Carroll was also one of the seven Clare camogie players nominated for the All-stars last week, but says she and her team-mates are looking for success on the pitch this weekend.
