In hockey news and Clare’s Naomi Carrol scored twice in ireland’s U21 Euro championship final win over Turkey last evening in Portugal.

The Sixmilebridge woman,who is also a key member of the Clare senior camogie side opened the scoring after just two minutes and grabbed her second just after half time.
The final score was 8-0 and the win now sees Ireland promoted to the Eurohockey championships for 2014.
