Camogie intermediate championship gets underway this weekend

In Camogie news and 7 intermediate camogie clubs will hoping to follow the path laid out by Corofin from last year with the start of the intermediate championship this weekend.

The competition is in 2 groups, with Truagh/Clonlara, Scariff, St Jospehs and Clarecastle in Group 1, and Whitegate, Ogonnelloe and Inagh in Group 2.

Broadford were the 4th team in this group but officially withdrew from the competition at the August Board meeting, citing lack of numbers as their reason for not fielding.

Truagh Clonlara  have already claimed the league title in 2011 and Niamh power told Clare fm they hope it can provide a spring board for championship success:

and there has ben a change of time for two of the weekends fixtures:

the meeting of  Scariff  and  Truagh and Ogonnelloe  and  Whitegate have now both been fixed for 3-30.
