An independent investigation, backed by the World Anti-Doping Agency, has recommended that the IAAF should suspend Russia from all athletics competitions.

The investigation claims there's been a deeply rooted culture of doping in the country – which is widespread and been going on for some time and concludes that the London 2012 Olympics were "sabotaged" as a result.
The investigators say that they have discovered information that not only relates to corruption within the sport – but also to possible criminal activity as well, which has been turned over to Interpol for investigation.
In addition, the commission says they found "cover-ups, destruction of samples, payment of money to conceal doping tests."
