Corofin boss Joe Cahill is praising his sides character after they went down fighting in the Munster intermediate club hurling final.

A quickfire trio of first half goals for Castlelyons saw the Cork champions run out winners against the North Clare men, on an evening which saw the second period delayed due to heavy fog at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

Corofin were 11 points in arrears at the half-time break, with that deficit being almost halved after the restart.

Cahill says while his side battled bravely, the concession of the three goals left them with too much to do.
