The 2021 Clare senior and intermediate football championships get underway this afternoon.
There are three ties down for decision in the top tier, with the feature game being a repeat of the 2019 final as holders Kilmurry Ibrickane take on Miltown.
It is the third consecutive championship meeting between the sides with Kilmurry coming out on top when they clashed in the opening round of the 2020 campaign.

Meanwhile Miltown boss Michael Neylon feels there is an element of uncertainty facing every team ahead of the opening round.
The west Clare men already have silverware in the bag for 2021 after finishing top of the Cusack Cup standings to retain their title.

Elsewhere this evening, it is a 5pm start in Cooraclare as Kilrush take on Kilmihil while at 7pm in Corofin, St Breckan’s go up against 2020 intermediate champions Doora Barefield.
There is one game in the intermediate championship as Kildysart face Michael Cusacks in Ennistymon with a 6pm start.
