The man who will lead St Breckan’s out for this weekend’s TUS Clare senior football final admits it will be a great honour to do so.

The North Clare men are preparing for their first decider since 1996, and are just 60 minutes from their maiden senior title.

Standing in their way are a Cratloe side who are bidding for their third ever title and a first since 2014.

St Breckan’s captain Cian Burke says the whole community are looking forward to the occasion

Meanwhile Cratloe boss Colm Collins feels his side have come the hard route to Sunday’s decider.

The south-east Clare men beat Ennistymon in their final group game, before taking down Kilmurry Ibrickane in the last eight, and dethroning Eire Og in the semi final.

Collins says facing quality opposition brings out the best in players, and knows their best will be needed if they are to take Jack Daly home
