The intermediate hurling championship is also at Q-final stage with 8 sides bidding to make the promtion to senior ranks for 2011.

Eire Og take on Killanena in the bridge at 3-30 while Ruan meet Parteen also in Sixmilebruidge on Saturday while Sunday’s action sees Sixmilebridge meet Clooney Quin in Shannon and Clarecastle take on Bodyke.

In football news and the first county football finalist will be known this weekend when Doonbeg and Kilmurray Ibrickane clash in Cooraclare on Saturday evening.

The game is a repeat of their clash at the same stage last year which the champions edged by a single point and throws in at 5-30  tomorrow evening.
