Bryan may still have chance at Olympics

Clare man Chris Bryan may still have a chance of competing at this year’s Olympic games despite yesterday’s disappointment in Portugal.

The Clare man finished in 15th place,in the same time as the Csaba  Gercsak but the Hungarian was given the final European qualifying spot ahead of the Shannon man

However its been reported that an investigation is underway after the 10th place finisher from Asia may lose his place as the continent may  already have  a qualifer swimming in this summer’s Games.

Swim Ireland have also confirmed to Clare FM that Bryan may be included in the Irish team if another country decide to withdraw their swimmers,with New Zealand rumoured to drop one of their competitors.
