A James McMahon first half goal gave Newmarket-on-Fergus a slender 1-4 to 0-6 advantage over last year’s beaten finalist.

But second half strikes from James Vaughaan and Cian Cremins put Broadford to the front as they seemed destined for their first title since 2005.

However, Newmarket-on-Fergus saved the day with points for James Power and David Frost guaranteeing a replay.
