There’s a repeat of the 2015 Final in store in the last eight of this years Clare Senior Football Championship.
It’s not the only familiar tie, with plenty recent rivalry in each of the quarter final ties.
Cooraclare will have revenge on their minds when they face up against St Josephs Miltown in their quarter final tie.
It’s the third time in a row these sides have met, with Miltown holding the whip hand in both previous occasions, including victory over the Sky Blues in the 2015 final.
When they squared off 12 months ago, it was the then defending champions who registered a resounding 16 point victory.
Current holders Kilmurry Ibrickane have been drawn to face Eire Óg, with the men from the west coming out on top when they met in the opening round last year.
There’s plenty recent history to draw on too with the pairing of Doonbeg and Clondegad, with the Magpies looking to register a second successive victory over the Ballynacally based side, having also won when they met in Round One last year.
Beaten finalists Cratloe will have to wait to find out their opponents though, as last years beaten finalists have been drawn to take on the winners of Ennistymon and Lissycasey, with that game set to go ahead next weekend.
The quarter finals are due to be played in two weeks time.
