Clare have qualified for a 4th Munster U21 Hurling Final in a row.
The defending Munster and All Ireland champions got the better of a strong Waterford side that had four of the starting side from last Sundays Munster Final loss to Tipperary.
The Deise started strongly and led by 0-9 to 0-6 after 20 minutes, and looked to be in control.
Clare rallied though and with Clarecastle's Bobby Duggan leading the way in the scoring stakes, the gap was just one at the break.
Whatever Donal Moloney and the management team said at the break had the desired effect, as Clare came out strongly in that second half, and moved 0-16 to 0-12 clear with 40 minutes on the clock.
The impressive Patrick Curran then struck for a goal for the Deise, but Clare refused to wilt.
Duggan would finish the game with 0-13 to his name, while Clonlara's Ian Galvin also chipped in with 0-6 to help his side over the line on a final scoreline of Clare 0-23 Waterford 1-18.
Next up for Moloney and his charges is a Munster final meeting against either Limerick or Tipperary, who meet in Limerick on Thursday evening.
A win for the Shannonsiders would set up a home final for Clare, while if the Premier emerge victorious, it will be another trip to Tipp.
