A trio of green flags in the second period helped turn the game on its head with Limerick having raced into a 0-6 to 0-1 interval lead.

Two of those goals came from Sean Fennell, including one from the penalty spot, while David Cahill also found the net.

It means Clare join Tipperary in the Daryl Darcy Cup final, with the Premier beating Waterford to record their second win of the campaign.

The sides are also due to meet in the final game of the round robin series next week in Quilty, while both are also through to the next stage of the competition where a tie with either Cork or Kerry awaits next month.
