The game ended scoreless after extra time but the Brazilians missed all four of their penalties to lose 2-0 in the shoot out.
Venezuela beat Chile 2-1 in last nights other quarter final while on Saturday Uruguay beat hosts Argentina and Peru overcame Colombia.
