A valiant Clare have been beaten in the All Ireland Minor Hurling Final at Croke Park this afternoon.
In a game where few gave them a major chance of victory, Clare battled hard throughout and were dominant in the first half

At one point they held a six point lead, and led 0-9 to 0-5 at the break.
Kilkenny had the better of the second half though, with two goals crucial. The first was scored by Michael Brennan, while he went on to create the second as well, a goal which drew the Cats level.
Kilkenny them pulled clear, and try as they might Clare could not reign in Kilkenny, who ran out winners in a final scoreline of 2-10 to 0-14.
