The Six Nations is introducing bonus points for the 2017 competition.
Scoring four or more tries in a game will earn teams a bonus point, as will losing by a margin of seven points or fewer.
Teams will be awarded four points for a win, and two for a draw.
And if a country completes the Grand Slam, they'll earn an extra three points.
The trial will extend to the women's and under-20s championships.
