The Clare man behind Ireland’s showjumping hopes at this year’s Olympics is hopeful more young people will be encouraged to take up the sport.
Tuamgraney’s Michael Blake is the high-performance director of the Irish senior show jumping team having take on the role in 2020.
His squad will be hopeful of taking home a medal haul from Tokyo when the delayed Games begin in August.
Blake wants any possible success to be the springboard for a new generation into the sport.
