Wigan won 1-0 at Stoke and Blackburn beat Wolves 3-2.
Manchester City have secured third place with a 2-0 win at Bolton.
Elsewhere there were wins for Aston Villa, Sunderland, Everton, and draws at
Fulham and Newcastle.
