Billy Walsh has announced his resignation as the the High Performance Head Coach of the Irish Amatuer Boxing Association.

Walsh says he was hopeful in recent weeks that a final proposal arising out of an approach in late September by the IABA would lead to a successful conclusion but unfortunately it didn't.
The Wexford man has confirmed a new role with USA boxing.
In some good news Zaur Antia will continue with the Irish team.
