Banner Trio On Long Term Injury List As Countdown To Munster SHC Opener Builds

Clare senior hurling manager Brian Lohan has confirmed David Reidy, Mark Rodgers and Aidan McCarthy will miss out on this year’s Munster championship campaign.

Rodgers and Reidy have been sidelined with knee injuries while McCarthy has not featured since suffering a leg injury in a work related accident.

Shane O’Donnell is expected to be in contention for a first appearance of the season when Clare go to Thurles to face Tipperary on Sunday afternoon.

The game will be Clare’s first championship outing of the season after having a bye in last weekend’s opening round of games, and Lohan says everyone is looking forward to getting going.
