Ballyvaughan Canoeist First Irishman To Win Gold At Slalom World Cup

Ballyvaughan canoeist Liam Jegou has become the first Irishman to win gold at the Canoe Slalom World Cup.

Jegou crossed the line in 100.35 seconds in the C1 category earlier today.

The 24-year-old became the first Irish athlete to officially qualify for the Tokyo Olympics earlier this year.
