Ballyea Ready For Bid For Third Consecutive Clare Senior Hurling Title

The manager of the current Clare senior hurling champions says their league form will count for little when their title defence begins.

Ballyea begin their bid for a third consecutive crown when they take on neighbours Kilmaley on Saturday evening in Cusack Park.

Since winning their opening Clare Cup tie in March, a run of nine consecutive losses followed for Leonard McNamara’s side in the league.

He says with so many players having county commitments, it is always a tough part of the season to manage.

Throw in on Saturday evening in Cusack Park is at 6.30pm with commentary on Clare FM with Pat Malone Car Sales, Darragh.
