This opening round tie in Cusack Park delivered a spectacle for supporters in the senior hurling championship as defending champions Ballyea qualified for the Round 2 winners group.
Goals from Tadhg Lynch, Tony Kelly and Niall Deasy allowed Kevin Sheehan’s charges come back from seven behind to take a 3-23 to 2-19 victory.
