Earlier there was a dramatic finale to this year’s regular nPower Championship fixtures.

Hull City eventually secured automatic promotion after a 2-all draw with champions Cardiff.

A Paul McShane goal gave Steve Bruce’s side the lead but a late Cardiff penalty forced them to wait on result of Watford’s clash with Leeds.

10-man Watford were beaten by 2 goals to 1 meaning they joined Crystal Palace, Brighton and Leicester in the playoffs.

Wolves lost to Brighton by 2 goals to nil as they got relegated for the second time in as many years.

They were joined by Peterborough who lost 3-2 to Palace despite twice taking the lead.
