Baker’s Offaly Out Of All Ireland Championship

Last night in the hurling qualifiers Waterford overcame Offaly in Tullamore by 21 points to 1-14.

The side’s were level in the middle of the second half in a tightly-fought game.

It was a tough draw for Ollie Baker’s side, who were knocked out by All Ireland Champions Kilkenny in their opening Leinster championship game.

Baker’s former Clare team-mate Anthony Daly leads his Dublin team into Leinster semi-final action against Kilkenny today.  Galway await the winners in the final.  

Also today, in gaelic football, All Ireland champions Donegal take on Down at 2pm for an Ulster final spot.

Later in Carrick-on-Shannon Leitrim will host London for a place in the Connacht Final against Mayo.
