Avenue United are preparing to meet a familiar opponent in the last 16 of the FAI Junior Cup on Sunday.
The Ennis outfit take on Wexford’s North End in Roslevan, having lost to the the same opposition at this same stage of the competition in 2022 after a penalty shootout.

Avenue recovered from their Munster Junior Cup exit by beating Manus Celtic in the cup before overcoming Inch Crusaders in what was just their third game of this years Premier Division League.
Manager David Russell says they needed those games to get the disappointment out of their system, and he’s confident they are ready now for another huge challenge.
