Defending champions Avenue United had to survive a scare before advancing to the next round of the Ennis Carpets Clare Cup.
It took until the second half of their clash with Manus Celtic before goals from Dylan Casey and Mark Roche saw them register a 2-0 win.

David Russell’s side will play just their third league game of the season on Sunday when they meet Inch Crusaders.
Among the standout ties in Sunday’s Cup action will be the meeting of Kilrush Rangers and Newmarket Celtic B, while last years runners up Newmarket Celtic make the short trip to take on Bunratty Cratloe.
