Avenue Secure CDSL Top Spot With Victory Over Kilkishen

Avenue United will spend Christmas on top of the Clare Premier Division standings.

Both goals came in the opening half through Conor Mullen and Tomás Hehir, but the margin could have been greater only for a fine display by the Kilkishen goalkeeper.

Elsewhere today, Kilrush Rangers will spend Christmas on the bottom of the Premier Division standings after losing out 2-1 at home to Bridge United in a game that saw former intercounty team mates David Tubridy and Podge Collins line out on opposing sides.
