Arsenal beat Liverpool in late drama at Anfield

Earlier on in the lunchtime kick-off at Anfield, Arsenal beat Liverpool 2-1 following eight minutes of injury time to take a vital three points in the race for fourth place in the league.

Most of the chances took place in the first half with Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie equalizing for his side after Laurent Koscielny had earlier turned the ball into his own net. Earlier in the half Dirk Kuyt had missed a penalty after Luis Suarez had controversially gone down in the box.

In the second half both sides found it difficult to sustain a  passing rhythm, but Robin Von Persie managed to make the most of limited chances with a superb finish past Reina in the 92nd minute.
