Dublin hurling manager and Clarecastle man Anthony Daly has called for the structure of the All-Ireland Championship to be revised, as part of efforts to shore up the club calendar.
This past weekend saw the GAA's Central Council vote in favour of a new structure for the club season, which would see it completed in a calendar year.
This is set to come into effect from 2016, and Daly says it will give more certainty to club players.
The former All Ireland winning captain with Clare has also argued in favour of holding All-Ireland Senior Hurling and Football Finals in August, rather than September, to make it easier for the organisers of county championships.
