Age just a number for Micko as he takes reigns in Clare

New Clare senior football manager Mick O Dwyer admits he was left impressed by his first taste of football in the county at Sunday’s Munster club q-final in Quilty.

The Waterville native was an interested speatator at Kilmurray Ibrickane’s one point loss to Dr Crokes as he settles into his new role as Clare manager.

The 76 year old was ratified at a county board meeting on Friday night but there has been debate  if he is  the right man for the position on age grounds.

O’Dwyer told Clare FM it’s not an issue for him or his management team who he thinks will leave a lasting legacy.
