Clare's U21 and Senior Footballers will get their 2017 campaigns underway this weekend with both sides in action in home games.

The first of those comes tonight as the U21's host Limerick in the pre season Peter McNulty Tournament, with Limerick making the trip to Kilmihil.

Games against Kildare and Wexford await later this month, and selector Neil Hawes feels exposure to teams outside the province will be of benefit to the squad.

That one starts in Kilmihil tonight at 7.30pm.

The senior squad get their year underway on Sunday, as Colm Collins side bid to reach a second successive McGrath Cup Final.

The first of two games in Group A comes against Waterford in Meelick, before a trip to Limerick on Wednesday.

Clare FM analyst Joe Garry feels management will use the games to assess how players stand ahead of the National League opener.

Throw in for that in Meelick on Sunday is at 2pm, full live online commentary of that game on www.clare.fm or through our social media channels.
