Tipp were 1-16 to 0-13 winners over Offaly in Tullamore, but had both Seamus Callanan and Cathal Barret sent-off.
While Waterford's 20-points to 0-12 win over Galway saw them sail into the last-four.
Both of those semi finals will be played on April 19th.
