900,000 hospital gowns are to be unloaded from the Antonov AN-225 aircraft, which touched down at Shannon Airport this afternoon.
The aircraft’s cargo represents the largest consignment of personal protective equipment delivered to Ireland during the COVI-19 pandemic.
Large crowds lined the roads around the Airport today to see the plane land shortly before 2:00.
