On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Evan Wilde who is the Managing Director of Wilde Irish Seaweed who have recently been named as this year’s winner of the Clare Final of the National Enterprise Awards for 2023. Evan discussed his delight at winning the award and spoke about the work Wilde Irish Seaweed carry out and their history since setting up in 2009. He described the local aspect of the company who are based in a factory in West Clare and employ 9 people from the surrounding area. He made reference to the current popularity of Irish seaweed due to it’s high quality. Evan also looked ahead to the upcoming 23rd National Enterprise Awards where Wilde Irish Seaweed will represent Local Enterprise Office Clare at the Round Room in Dublin on June 1st.
