Unveiling Of Brendan O’Regan Statue To Take Place Next Week

On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by the Secretary of Sixmilebridge Historical Society, Tim Crowe. The unveiling of a statue in honour of Brendan O’Regan’s legacy to the region and Ireland will take place in his native Sixmilebridge next week. Numerous members of the O’Regan family from Ireland and abroad are set to be in attendance.

Tim discussed Brendan’s historic career and the impact that he had on Clare. He also highlighted the unfortunate fact that a lot of people under the age of fifty aren’t familiar with his name. Tim encouraged everyone listening to head down to the unveiling to celebrate the legacy of Brendan O’Regan.

The unveiling takes place on Monday, July 10th at 2 pm in the Sixmilebridge Town Centre/Square.
