Unsung Corofin Native Set To Be Remembered For His Contribution To Modern Ireland

On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Paul Minihan who is originally from Corofin and is now a barrister based in Cork. Paul discussed an upcoming lecture which will be hosted by Cumann Staire is DĂșchais Chora Finne to remember the extraordinary contribution made by Corofin native Justice Seamus Henchy to Ireland. He described Seamus as one of the unsung heroes of Irish history who helped to create the inclusive modern Ireland. He mentioned Seamus’ educational background and gave an insight into his work in both the High and Supreme Court along with being Chair of the IRTC. Some of the cases Seamus was involved in helped to shape Ireland today.
The lecture itself will take place on Friday 28th April at the Corofin Community Hall and will be shared by both Paul Minihan and TD Michael McNamara.
